When it comes to getting more SEO clients, email marketing is still a technique that can produce results. I’ve had some great results with it in the past, and it’s still a technique I use to generate leads. Granted, it’s been abused over the years by spammers spouting warning’s about poor rankings and promising number 1 rankings in the blink of an eye for 10 bucks….take that route,  and you’ll fail.

People don’t respond to strangers soliciting services telling them how terribly they’re doing (especially when they’re not actually doing so badly but the sender has failed to actually do any research), nor do they trust someone  making outlandish claims on first contact; claims which they’ve probably heard a thousand times before.

Be respectful, to the point/brief,  and honest.  Explain who you are, why you’re emailing, and what value you can provide. The aim of the email is not to get the prospect to buy, but to ‘warm them up’, peak their interest,  and schedule an appointment / get them on the phone to work your magic.

I use the below content as a template a, tailoring it each time to fit the individual client and business sector. Feel free to adapt and use…..

The reason I’m getting in touch is that we’re an online marketing company, and we’ve had a lot of success with helping (Insert business type Eg Dentists)  increase their lead/case numbers and we’re looking to partner up with some more.

With more people going online everyday, it has been increasingly more difficult to do business without a solid web presence, and statistics show that people are using the Internet to help them with choosing a (Insert Business EG Lawyer).
